Between Elle and Vire rivers in France we cultivate the Taste of Real

Our products

Elle & Vire is committed each day to offering products with ever-shorter ingredient lists in increasingly responsible packaging.

Simplifying our recipes

Being committed to authenticity also means working daily - for more than ten years - to offer simpler recipes, with shorter and more natural ingredient lists.

Our two areas of improvement:

  • Gradually reducing additives in all of our products
  • Reducing sugar content in our desserts

Reducing the Impact of Our Packaging

Our Research & Development teams work
continuously to reduce the environmental impact of our packaging.

Elle & Vire is converting to recycled caps,
saving 377 tons
of virgin fossil-based plastic per year!

Since September 2024, all our cartons have featured caps made from 100% recycled plastic, certified by ISCC. This means that 100% of the plastic we purchase and that is then used by our carton supplier, Tetra Pak®, is recycled plastic. Tetra Pak® then mixes this plastic with that of its other suppliers to manufacture caps, including those used on Elle & Vire products. Through this approach, we help advance the sector by contributing 100% recycled plastic input. This is known as the mass balance method.

To bundle our cartons, there is no need to wrap them in plastic!

We use a simple adhesive band, whose film is made of 94% recycled plastic according to the mass balance method.

Fighting food waste together

All Elle & Vire products sold internationally are long-life products.

What do the dates on the packaging mean?

DDM (DMD)
Date of Minimum Durability

Also known as the “best before” date, the DDM (DMD) refers to the period during which the product retains optimal taste and appearance.
Once this date has passed, the product can still be consumed safely.

All our products sold internationally carry a DDM (DMD).

DLC (EXP)
Expiration Date

This date corresponds to the “use by” date indicated on the packaging. It is a food safety guideline. Once this date has passed, the product may pose health risks if consumed.
