The new gastronomy initiatives

For several months, the Chefs have been reinventing and adaapting themselves, and they came out with different ways to face the current context.

For some Chefs, this period has been a real source of inspiration. Many chefs have readjusted their menus: some made it transportable, when others developed a whole new concept. Many services appeared: take-away and delivery became the new trend, including for gourmet cuisine; fresh baskets and other home cooking kits emerged … A "new gastronomy" came to light.

This week, discover how 4 restaurants all over the world have adapted their menus:

La Scène (Paris)

In Paris, the Chef Stéphanie Le Quellec launched a new concept : « A vous de jouer la Scène » and offers fresh products baskets to recreate gourmet recipes at home. 3 garnished baskets have been developed: "Burger Party", "Chateaubriand au poivre" and "Bar de ligne en papillote".

Through this concept, the Chef Le Quellec managed to adapt her offer to home-cooking and to create a link with her customers by allowing them to cook the recipe she created thanks to her instructions. The Chef also offers vacuum-packed dishes, delivered cold and to be reheated at home like the « Blanquette de veau printanière infusée au café », or  the « Curry rouge végétarien au lait de coco et au riz parfumé. » 

Her meals are available for delivery or take-away.

Odette (Singapore)

 The Odette restaurant in Singapore launched « Odette at home », a way to discover the restaurant’s culinary experience at home, thanks to different gourmet and seasonal meals. Odette developed several formulas to satisfy everyone's taste buds :

  • The « Rise & Shine » set: a continental breakfast with an assortment of ready-to-eat pastries.
  • The « Grignotages & Entrées » set: an assortment of cold or hot starters and appetizers.
  • The « Les plats de résistances » set: different cold and hot  meals.
  • The « Les Gourmandises » set : an assortment of gourmet pastries.
  • The « beverages » set

Les Artizans (Paris)

Les Artizans restaurant in Paris offers a 22€ menu delivered at home.

The menu is renewed every two days, which allows a real diversity among the different meals which are all rich in flavors.

The menus from les Artizans are complete with a starter, a dish and a desert. They also offer aperitif kit, to share during your gathering moments that are so important during these troubled times.

Wyndham Csablanca hotel (Jakarta)

The Wyndham Casablanca hotel in Indonesia has adapted their menus to the cultural context of the country. They offered take-away menus during the ramadan period, to allow the inhabitants to break the fast with local comforting and tasty meals. They also offered special menus for Eid which celebrates the end of ramadan. Furthermore, the hotel offers divers flavors meals, from traditionals to Western recipes.

The Wyndham Casablanca hotel has a delivery service for those who want to taste their meals at home.

The context of the last few months has been a real challenge for our sector, revealing the great resources of gastronomy professionals around the world: creativity, inventiveness, adaptability, responsiveness, generosity, optimism...
