The Ecole Paul Dubrule was created in 2002 in the Angkor province in Cambodia as an NGO to train young people, often coming from particularly underprivileged backgrounds in the tourism and hotel industries in order to facilitate their social integration. For the inauguration of the school, Paul Dubrule, co-founder of the Accor group and founder of the school, went from Fontainebleau in France to Siem Reap in Cambodia on a bicycle, covering 15,272 kilometers.

The students gain all the necessary skills for their future career by following one of the 10-month training programs in cooking, restaurant, room division, bakery, pastry or tourism, alternating between internships and classroom periods.

To finance the studies of the students, scholarships can be granted by prestigious partners such as Solidarity Accor, which already financed the training of 76 students, coming from Phnom Penh.

The school based its development on projects to gain notoriety. Thus, in 2006, the Café Dubrule opened in the garden of the French Institute of Cambodia. Moreover, each year in souvenir of Paul Dubrule’s trip and to commemorate the opening of the school, students, teachers and directors are taking part in the “Tour de l’Ecole” cycling trip, in presence of Paul Dubrule himself. As of the growing number of students, the school invested in its infrastructures in order to offer the best studying conditions as possible to its students.

Elle & Vire Professionnel is proud to be partner of the Ecole Paul Dubrule that is engaged both in sustainable human and social development.
