Meet Antonio Guida

Multi-starred Chef and Ambassadeur Elle & Vire Professionnel®
Antonio Guida, one of the most loved Chefs in Italy, began his career as a kitchen commis in 1998, travelling then along Europe and Asia, working for important starred restaurants, between which Pierre Gagnaire’s in Paris, the Pinchiorri Enoteca in Florence and Don Alfonso di Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi near Naples, and then in Rome at La Terrazza, inside the Eden Hotel. In 2002 became Executive Chef at the restaurant Il Pellicano, where he gained two Michelin stars, in 2004 and 2010.

After 12 years at the helm of Il Pellicano, Chef Guida was named Executive Chef at the restaurant Seta inside the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Milan, where he currently expresses his culinary art. Thanks to his talent and his leadership, the gourmet restaurant inside the hotel gained his first Michelin star in 2015, after just four months since the opening, doubling with the second Michelin star just the following year, in November 2016.

Chef Guida, a sensitive and generous soul, actively involved in social work, owes much of his success to the good team he has been able to create: “There is no Chef, but there is the team. To me, it is important to involve the brigade in the choices, to be accomplices, to motivate growth and to stimulate the creativity of the individual. All this is then “tasted” in our dishes.”

Since 2022, he has joined the Elle & Vire Professionnel® Ambassadeurs’ family, a brand with which he shares the values and commitment to a constant quest for excellence, the determination to always give the best with a responsible approach, respecting the environment and people.
