Michelin's Guide 2017 ranking just came out!

The famous red guide has officially revealed its 2017 ranking Tuesday 9th February.

We were all impatiently waiting for this!

 

For this new prize list: 4360 establishments, 616 stars including 70 news stars.

2017 Michelin’s guide announced 16 more stars than its 2016 edition, but also 52 establishments that lost a star.

Eagerly awaited and feared at the same time by the chefs, the 2017 edition brought a lot of surprises, but also awaited crownings.

 

The only chef who obtained 3 stars is Yannick Alleno for his establishment in Courchevel, France: Le Cheval Blanc. 

 

Among the awarded of this year :

 

  • Alexandre Gauthier who obtains his long-awaited second star for his establishment « La Grenouillère »

 

  • Marc Veyrat who obtains 2 stars for « La Maison des bois » in Manigod, France.

 

  • Pierre Gagnaire who keeps his 2 stars for « La Grande Maison » in Bordeaux, France.

 

  • Nicolas Sale, which obtains 2 stars for « L’Espadon » and 1 star for “Jardins de l’Espadon” in the Ritz Hotel, Paris, France.

 

  • Kei Kobayashi who obtains 2 stars for “Kei” in Paris, France.

 

  • Mathieu Pacaud, who obtains his first star for “Divellec” in Paris, France.

 

  • David Bizet and Simone Zanoni, both 1 star for the George V Hotel in Paris, France.

 

  • And only one woman in the prize list, Fanny Rey, from a famous French culinary show called Top Chef , who obtains his first star.
